What's the role? To carry out on-site commissioning, fault diagnosis, maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modification of BRUSH’s range of Switchgear products. Key Responsibilities Commissioning, repair, and maintenance of the companies range of Switchgear products, both on site and in Brush Blackwood factory. Test and commission switchgear up to 36kV. Undertake fault diagnosis of switchgear and related equipment; test and rectify, as necessary. Interpret specifications and technical requirements; prepare method statements and prepare detailed and concise reports for submission to customers. Attend technical meetings on site and at customers’ premises Carry out an on-site risk assessment on every assignment and record details thereof on the special form provided. What We’re Looking For Experience in dealing with customers effectively. Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering A minimum of four year’s experience required in switchgear test/commissioning. Experience in representing the company at customers’ sites and operating remotely on own initiative whilst observing the requirements set down in the company’s code of Conduct for Commissioning Engineers. Able to work with company’s rules and guidance notes on health and safety, including operation of safe systems of work in relation to high voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and work in a heavy industrial environment. Flexible to travel UK wide, potentially staying away for longer than 7 days. What's in it for you?
