The Role – Behaviour Teaching Assistant
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support within a mainstream primary school setting. Your role will involve providing 1:1 and small group interventions, implementing behaviour management strategies, and promoting positive choices throughout the school day. You will work alongside the class teacher, SENCo, and pastoral team to ensure each child receives the support they need to succeed both academically and socially. This position requires patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting behaviour and wellbeing.
