Overview
Are you an experienced teaching assistant looking for a new role? We are currently working with a large SEN provision in the Oldham area to recruit for experienced teaching assistants to join their team ASAP.
You will be working with small groups and children 1:1 whilst supporting the class teacher. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) then this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting children with challenging behaviours and SEN in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
* Building positive relationships with class teachers to monitor progress and implement strategies
* Preparing resources for lessons to enhance learning experiences
* Engaging and building rapport with pupils to encourage learning
Position Details
* Location: Oldham
* Position: Experienced SEN TA
* Type of Work: Temporary
* Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time only
* Minimum Rate of Pay: 95 per day, depending on experience
* Start date: ASAP
* End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications
* Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
* Team Teach training is highly desired
* Previous experience supporting complex needs in a residential or school setting
To be eligible for this role
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
