Pleasure Beach Resort is a household name and attraction that has been delivering fun days out for over 125 years. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our busy HR Team. This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys processing end to end payroll, compliance and analysis. the ideal candidate will bring a high level of accuracy to our payroll function. You will play a key role in maintaining compliant, efficient payroll operations and ensuring quality financial information across the business

In addition, you will also play an exciting role in supporting the rollout of payroll and HR solutions which will both aid with efficiencies and support our people.

Main Responsibilities

* End to end payroll processing for circa 1000 colleagues, across two payrolls ensuring full compliance and accuracy
* Produce regular and ad-hoc payroll reports to support internal teams and audit requirements
* Improve payroll processes for greater efficiency and accuracy, including identifying opportunities for automation
* Maintain compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and conduct regular internal audits
* Stay informed about changes in tax codes and payroll regulations, applying updates where needed
* Manage and maintain payroll and HR systems, including data accuracy and software upgrades
* Involvement in reporting and analysis including National Living Wage and Gender Pay Gap
* Recording of absence and associated calculations including statutory payments and Bradford Factor (holidays, sickness, maternity, paternity)
* Attachment of earnings
* Reviewing payroll emails and carrying out actions as necessary
* Administration of employee benefits i.e pensions
* Be a trusted point of contact and a go-to for payroll queries for your colleagues across the business providing clear advice and resolution
* General ad hoc duties to support the Payroll & Benefits department

Previous experience within a payroll position is essential

The role is 100% office based due to the nature of the business

Start date: 5/1/26. Earlier start date is also applicable
