Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist

We are delighted to offer a committed, experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist the opportunity to join our friendly and forward‑thinking community children's occupational therapy service. This role is within the early years and physical disabilities specialty, providing a quality, highly specialised community based Occupational Therapy service to children and young people with a wide variety of physical disabilities and complex health needs. Assessment for therapy and supportive equipment is completed in clinics, homes and school environments to create a more enabling environment for the child.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have significant knowledge and skill in the assessment and management of children and young people with complex physical disabilities, including those with Cerebral Palsy, neurological disorders and genetic disorders. They will demonstrate leadership, knowledge and experience as required for this senior clinical role and will work collaboratively with families, educational settings and the wider multi‑agency team. In addition you will have:
* Well‑developed clinical and negotiation skills
* Experience providing training to parents, practitioners and educational settings
* Experience contributing to monitoring, review and evaluation of service provision through audit and quality improvement projects
Qualifications
* Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
* Health Professionals Council registered

Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 per annum pro rata
