About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will help provide care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, delivering personalised care plans that give residents security, dignity and independence. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, influencing the rest of the team. You may support residents with daily activities, life events and communications with families, always with a sense of kindness. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. A key responsibility is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care
* Plan and implement personalised care to give residents security, dignity and independence
* Get to know residents and their families to deliver tailored care plans
* Assist residents with daily activities (e.g., mobility aids, meals) and communicate with families as needed
* Work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide activities and administer medication
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and build strong team relationships
Qualifications
* Ideally completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia
* Positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record keeping and time management
* Respectful, kind communication with residents and co-workers
