💷 £38,743 – £42,058 OTE (including sleep‑ins) + £1,000 joining bonus
⏰ 40 hours per week + sleep‑ins
🔄 2 days on / 4 days off (alternate week pattern)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and committed Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker to join a well‑established, Ofsted‑registered children’s home in Derby.
This role involves supporting children and young people aged 10–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. As a Senior, you will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting staff, and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, consistent care.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shifts and support the wider care team
* Provide high‑quality care, safeguarding, and emotional support
* Undertake key working responsibilities and support co‑key workers
* Carry out and review risk assessments and care plans
* Delegate tasks and support staff development
* Manage incidents, conflict resolution, and end‑of‑shift debriefs
* Maintain accurate records and reports
* Facilitate young people’s meetings and daily activities

What We’re Looking For
* QCF/NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People (essential)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare (essential)
* Experience supporting children with EBD and complex behaviours
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* A resilient and proactive approach to supporting young people
