Overview
We're recruiting on behalf of our long standing client for a Hygiene Manager to join their technical team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of site hygiene and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop the hygiene team (6 direct reports).
* Ensure the site is always prepared for customer visits and external audits.
* Support with customer and third-party audits, ensuring compliance with BRC and retailer standards.
* Write, update, and implement hygiene procedures and standards.
* Coordinate and manage the cleaning schedule in line with QMS requirements.
* Manage chemical suppliers, PPE, and stock control.
* Ensure effective use of CIP systems and cleaning processes.
* Drive continuous improvement across hygiene operations.
Requirements
* Proven leadership experience in a hygiene management role within food manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of BRC and major retailer standards.
* Hands-on experience with CIP systems and hygiene management systems.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Passion for continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
