The Global Law Tax Quality Leader reports to the Global Tax Quality Leader and Deputy Global Tax Quality Leader and is expected to be a full-time role.

Opportunity
A unique opportunity to work within Global Tax Quality, supporting Global Law in an era of transformation. Global Law spans a network of over 80 jurisdictions with complex legal and regulatory frameworks and evolving service offerings. This role provides the opportunity to expand an internal network globally, work with Law leaders on new services and opportunities, and gain insight into alternative regulatory regimes. The role also supports the development of new technologies to drive efficiencies in service delivery across multiple markets. This leadership role provides an opportunity to elevate your knowledge, experience and exposure within the firm.
Responsibilities
* Monitor, control and enhance the quality of Law services and technologies
* Ensure consistent execution of global policies, procedures and methodologies
* Protect and enhance EY’s brand and reputation by ensuring quality in Law service offerings
* Understand and enable Law business strategy; collaborate with region and country Law and risk management executives
* Advise business leaders on legal, ethical, regulatory and professional obligations related to legal services and Law offerings
* Support Global Tax Quality with other special projects and broader quality initiatives
* Lead a Law Quality Network to connect and share best practices with Tax Quality colleagues
Your Key Responsibilities
* Engage with Global Law Leaders regarding Law strategy and priorities
* Apprise Global Law Leaders of changes to EY policies and regulatory developments affecting the Law business
* Advise Global Law Leaders and professionals on regulations, standards, quality imperatives and risk mitigation
* Review and advise on new or revised Law services
* Draft Law-specific guidance and discuss with Law leaders
* Review new tools and technology, including AI solutions, to support efficient delivery of Law services
* Coordinate with Global and Region GCO, quality and risk management executives, and Law leaders on entity structure, regulations and licensing
* Research and apply EY policies to fact-specific engagement questions
* Consult with Law engagement partners on quality and regulatory matters across member firms and regions
* Support Law engagement teams and regional quality leaders in managing conflicts of interest
* Promote compliance with laws, regulations and EY policies; provide training and practice communications
* Prepare communications and lead presentations on quality and risk topics
* Support Law Quality Reviews and Law Tool Owner Reviews
* Participate in Global Tax Quality meetings
* Lead a Law Quality Network to share leading practices
Skills and Attributes for Success
* Undergraduate/University degree; law degree preferred
* 15+ years of related work experience
* Proven client-side experience with multinational engagements
* Deep knowledge of EY’s Global organization, strategy and culture
* In-depth knowledge of the Tax Service Line and ability to identify Law quality issues in offerings
* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence leaders at all levels
* Professionalism, integrity and resilience
* Flexibility to accommodate calls and meetings across time zones
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Experience with legal regulatory regimes or client-facing legal work
* Strong internal EY network within and beyond the Law subservice line
* Future-focused, solution-oriented mindset; ability to adapt to AI and other evolving areas
