The Role:As a key member of the housing litigation team, you’ll take ownership of your own caseload and provide expert advice and representation across a range of residential landlord and tenant disputes. Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a caseload of defended possession claims, rent arrears, and housing litigation matters.
2. Advising on and handling contested proceedings, including counterclaims – with particular emphasis on small claims and fast-track litigation.
3. Acting in disputes involving unlawful eviction, disrepair, non-compliance with tenancy deposit rules, and tenant harassment.
4. Applying detailed knowledge of housing legislation, court procedures, and the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair.
5. Working closely with landlords, managing agents, and housing associations to deliver practical legal solutions.
