Highland Consulting Group, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator for a growing mechanical contractor in the Buffalo, NY area.
Our client is a full-service mechanical contractor expanding its team to support commercial and light industrial design/build and retrofit projects valued at $3 million or more. This is a permanent, on-site position with little to no travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop master budgets and cost models for HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
* Provide conceptual and hard bid estimates for new builds, retrofits, and service projects.
* Maintain and enhance cost databases for improved estimating accuracy.
* Deliver independent change order estimates.
* Support pre-construction cost estimating and project planning.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of estimating experience in mechanical construction (HVAC, plumbing, and piping).
* Strong background in commercial new builds, retrofits, and service projects.
* Ability to develop budgets, establish timelines, and produce accurate cost estimates.
* Experience with negotiated and plan-and-spec estimates.
* Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in industry-specific estimating software.
* A four-year degree in construction management or a related field is but not required.

Anticipated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes that the attached salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position.
