The position offers a challenging role in a dynamic and supportive team where you will be responsible for the financial reporting for a specific region and you'll be responsible for generating financial reports and financial statements for key stakeholders.
Your duties will encompass:
1. Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and management accounts when required
2. Provide explanations and information to external auditors related to the Group financial statements and entity statutory financial statements
3. Support the Internal Audit process, providing explanations and information as required
4. Compliance with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements, ensuring financial controls are addressed within deadlines set
5. Preparation of reconciliations and analysis with relevant and appropriate back up and critical analysis of the balances in significant entities
In addition:
6. Identify areas of process improvements and propose potential solutions to establish best practice and process standardisation
7. Champion standard ways of working with colleagues within the company finance community
8. Offer support and coaching within the team
9. Support to resolve any financial reporting queries in a timely and effective manner
10. Other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards, applicable local accounting standards, local legislation and group accounting policies; be a qualified or nearly qualified accountant with audits and accounts preparation experience. Experience within large multinational companies or large teams would be advantageous.
