We are looking for an ambitious garment technologist assistant to join our close knit team, overseeing our footwear category. You will work alongside the footwear team to support administration and other general ad hoc duties in the office.
In this role you will work closely with the footwear technologist, product manager, production manager and design to support in ensuring the product build is fit for purpose across all AllSaints footwear in terms of quality, fit, comfort and durability. You will work in collaboration with our factories, supporting and documenting fitting reports, email queries, sample storing/sending out.
To be successful in this role you will be motivated and willing to support the team in achieving great results. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about footwear products and fashion and wants to work cross functionally with various other teams.
About the team:
The Technical Department at AllSaints are responsible for the fit and quality of all AllSaints products. We work closely with Design to execute their creative vision, whilst maintaining the quality and consistency of AllSaints’ products, ensuring the brand remains an iconic and high quality label.
What will I be doing?
Maintaining and improving through applied technology, the quality and value of all products in line with business strategic direction
Working with the footwear technologist, design, buying, DC and suppliers you will provide support for the business ensuring all products comply with legal and accepted industry standards, ensuring that the approval process and the quality management of products fulfil and exceed the company's expectations
Sample management
Collecting/sending parcels out to vendors and DC and maintaining the courier tracker
Assisting in chasing confirmation and pre-shipment samples and testing and management of the CP tracker
Managing sample cupboard
Note taking during fits and completing and sending supporting documents from Proto to bulk production
Managing the google sheets: Materials of footwear, Boot upper measurement, Last Library, BOM and foot fit database, furrier letters
Managing partner testing and collating all other testing
Assist in issuing our wearer trials and providing feedback to the technologist
Support team with deliveries and unpacking footwear samples in the office
Other ad-hoc duties to support footwear team including: supporting the team to organise samples in the office, unpack and pack boxes of footwear samples, CFM and development samples
What skills do I need?
Systematic approach to work and a meticulous eye for detail
PC literate skills: Excel, Word, Power point
Knowledge of footwear manufacture is preferable, however not essential as you will learn on the job
Ability to learn quickly and absorb knowledge and new skills
Proactive and a team player
