We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team as an Extra Care Catering Assistant/Cleaner at Llys Jasmine Extra Care Scheme in Mold. This dual‑role opportunity gives you the chance to work as a Part‑time Catering Assistant or Cleaner, depending on the needs of the scheme. Whilst the position supports both areas the 16.5 hours is allocated for the Catering assistant role – with the opportunity to pick up cleaning shifts to support any gaps that need to be filled due to annual leave or sickness cover.
Responsibilities
1. Catering Assistant
o Serving residents meals
o Helping with setting up and clearing the dining area.
o Supporting residents with meal choices and ensuring a welcoming dining experience.
o Helping in the kitchen with small prep jobs such as peeling and chopping vegetables, and making sandwiches.
o Helping to keep the kitchen area and restaurant area clean and tidy
o Following food hygiene and safety standards.
2. Cleaner
o Carrying out routine cleaning of communal areas such as lounges, dining rooms, and bathrooms – there is no cleaning of resident’s rooms required for this role.
o Following cleaning schedules and infection control procedures.
o Ensuring a safe, tidy, and pleasant environment for residents and visitors.
You will also follow key policies, report concerns promptly, and provide a welcoming, supportive presence for residents. This is not a personal care role. You will not be expected to provide personal care or medical support to residents. Your focus will be on catering and cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our residents.
