Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00 per week Salary: £30000 - £32000 per annum Location: Derby, Derbyshire About the Role: Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Data Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working with large data sets, understands porta packs, and is highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. The successful candidate will play a key role in organising, analysing and presenting data to support business performance, KPI tracking and strategic decision‑making. Key Responsibilities Data Management & Administration Manage, update and maintain data within porta packs and other internal systems. Ensure data integrity, accuracy and consistency across multiple platforms. Perform regular audits to identify gaps, errors, or discrepancies. Reporting & Analysis Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers and reports to monitor KPIs and business performance. Analyse trends, variances and patterns to provide actionable insights. Prepare number‑heavy datasets for review by leadership and wider teams. Presentation & Documentation Create professional, visually clear PowerPoint presentations to communicate data findings. Produce Excel reports, charts and pivot tables to support metrics, forecasting and trend review. Summarise complex data into meaningful insights for non‑technical audiences. Performance & KPI Tracking Assist in, reviewing and refining business KPIs. Monitor performance indicators and highlight areas requiring attention. Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide relevant data solutions. Skills & Experience Essential Strong experience working with porta packs or similar data management tools. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts, conditional formatting). Confident using Microsoft PowerPoint to present data effectively. High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work with large volumes of data. Excellent organisational and time‑management skills. Desirable Experience in data administration, reporting, or performance analysis. Knowledge of KPI frameworks and performance management tools. Ability to explain data insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Personal Attributes Naturally analytical with a passion for numbers. Curious and proactive in identifying trends and insights.
