We are seeking a dynamic History Teacher to join our Humanities faculty. This role involves teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 delivery. Core Responsibilities
1. Delivering high-impact lessons that develop students' chronological understanding and their ability to analyse cause, consequence, and significance.
2. Teaching students how to evaluate source material for bias, reliability, and utility, fostering the critical thinking skills essential for modern citizenship.
3. Preparing Year 11 and Year 13 students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, with a particular focus on structured essay writing and high-level historical analysis.
4. Implementing effective literacy strategies to help students master the complex vocabulary and formal writing styles required for the subject.
5. Leading or contributing to extracurricular initiatives, such as History clubs, "Heritage Week" events, or student-led research projects into local Barking history.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a storyteller and an analyst who can make the distant past feel immediate and relevant. Requirements include:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related field.
