Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Creative Technical Demonstrator within the Film Production Equipment Store. This role involves working at the equipment store front desk and providing excellent customer service to students and academics.
You should have knowledge and experience of film production equipment and techniques, organizing and maintaining resources, and very good administration skills.
You will be expected to demonstrate high levels of initiative, creativity, enthusiasm, openness, and collaboration. You must demonstrate outstanding customer service, organizational skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a commitment to working as part of a team.
This position is full-time and permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support with preparation and maintenance of specialist filming equipment.
* Ensure the provision of excellent, relevant, and timely front-line customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
* Maintain relevant databases to ensure the integrity of information and assets.
* Provide operational and administrative support, including basic instruction documentation, user guides for specialist equipment, and data collection.
* Support in equipment repairs and ensure all equipment is fully maintained.
* Engage with the University's commitment to put students first, deliver customer-oriented services, and contribute to financial and environmental sustainability.
* Engage with the Technician Commitment to promote visibility, recognition, career development, and sustainability of technical roles in education.
