As a quantity surveyor, you'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and communities — from improving flood defenses to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions to enhance biodiversity. You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering, tender negotiation, through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover of schemes.
Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor include:
1. Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to assist in commercial decisions.
2. Working closely with the delivery team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Ensuring all project team members understand the contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
4. Supporting our clients to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes.
5. Influencing the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
6. Fostering and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, understanding client needs, and delivering value through effective cost management and project delivery.

Qualifications and skills required:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* A practical mindset, good math skills, the ability to solve problems, and manage project finances.
* A valid driving license and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
