Field Service Technician Labquip NDT LtdPermanent position for a motivated self-starterLocation: Stroud, GloucestershireLabquip NDT Limited is a leading distributor of non-destructive testing (NDT) and elemental analysis equipment. Serving scientific, technical, and manufacturing sectors, we are seeking a proactive Service Technician to join our growing team.About the RoleBased at our Stroud facility, this role involves:
* Nationwide service of WAYGATE AGFA STRUCTURIX Film Processors at customer sites.
* Participation in LABINO light meter calibrations at Stroud from 2027 onwards for in-house calibrations.
The successful candidate should live within a commutable distance of Stroud and will receive on-site mentorship from an experienced engineer (Birmingham-based), along with additional support from our Irish service team.Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, maintain, and repair film processors to manufacturer standards.
* Perform Labino light meter calibrations and portable light repairs in-house.
* Plan, schedule and document all your own service work, maintain clear communication, and manage spare parts and equipment records.
* Work closely with sales teams to identify new service and sales opportunities.
* Look after quotations, order fulfilment, technical consultations, and reporting of service metrics via CRM/ERP tools.
What You Need
* At least two years technical work experience (service experience desirable).
* Strong electromechanical aptitude with problem-solving ability.
* Competence in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
* Ability to read technical drawings and use standard test equipment.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Proficient written and spoken English.
