We’re delighted to open applications for our Military & Elite Athlete Talent Placement Programme – September 2026 Intake. This programme is designed to support you as you transition into a new career. Whether you’re leaving the Armed Forces or finishing an elite sporting career, we welcome the experience, discipline and resilience you bring. You’ll gain hands on experience in a FTSE100 organisation, receive tailored support, and join a community that values who you are and what you can offer. We have five placement roles available, and the Change Delivery Manager role is one of them
What you’ll do:
As a Change Delivery Manager, you’ll work at pace, learn fast and contribute to meaningful transformation work across Centrica. It’s an exciting role and no two days will be the same
During your placement, you will:
1. Work within our Transformation Team on strategic change initiatives
2. Develop, own and implement change management approaches
3. Convert approaches into a comprehensive change plan that includes communications, engagement, and training needs to enable maximum adoption
4. Provide regular and impactful updates, insights, and recommendations using a range of tools
5. Translate technical or complex transformation concepts into clear, accessible messaging
6. Facilitate effective engagement sessions e.g. workshops, briefings, market stalls, to support change awareness and buy‑in
7. Support teams in developing the capability and confidence needed to operate new processes, systems, or behaviours
8. Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to coordinate change activities
9. Build strong networks across the business
10. Create and maintain change artefacts (e.g. impact logs, readiness assessments, risk logs, stakeholder maps, Value Realisation Plan)

What we’re looking for:

12. Experience delivering end-to-end change or complex projects
13. Skills in service design, process improvement or project management
14. Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, communication and storytelling skills
15. Confidence with digital tools and problem solving
16. Experience with analysis (process, gap or requirements)
17. Ability to develop others and take ownership when change isn’t landing
18. Desirable familiarity with frameworks such as ADKAR, Scrum or Waterfall.
On placement you’ll also have a dedicated business mentor, opportunities to meet senior leaders, and plenty of support to settle into your role
Who the programme is for. This placement is open to:
19. Military Service Leavers: leaving the Forces or within the 2-year CTP window after service at application
20. Elite Athletes: international competition experience and/or professional UK sports experience within the last 3 years
