Adopt Birmingham is the Regional Adoption Agency for Birmingham. We are seeking a full‑time senior social worker to join our Post Adoption Support Team, providing trauma‑informed, therapeutic social worker support to adopted children and young people.
As a Children’s Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support.
Our services will always be joined up and you will develop robust partnerships with other teams and outside agencies, including the police, health, schools and voluntary organisations.

This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham. You must reside within a suitable commutable distance and have the correct right‑to‑work documents. We do not support those who require sponsorship.
About You
* A degree in Social Work and completed the ASYE.
* Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
* Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
* Strong assessment and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

* A salary with an incentive payment of £1,000.
* A retention payment of up to £5,000 per annum, subject to tax and NI deductions (T&C’s apply).
