HR and Payroll Clerk
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum DOE
Hours: 39 hours (flexible hours considered)
Department: Human Resources / Finance
Location: Hythe, Kent
Responsibilities
* Prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll
* Maintain accurate HR files and employee records
* Support recruitment admin, including interview arrangements and onboarding documents
* Handle employee queries on payroll, HR policies, and general employment matters
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal procedures
* Support HR functions, including absence tracking, holiday monitoring, and staff updates
* Assist with general HR and payroll administration tasks as needed
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Knowledge of employment law and HR processes
* Previous HR or payroll administration experience
* Experience with Sage Payroll advantageous
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage confidential information responsibly
* High accuracy and excellent attention to detail
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* Comfortable working in a busy office environment
* Confident using Microsoft Office applications
