Location: Barrow-in-Furness | Full-Time | 5 Days Onsite
Salary: Up to £36,000
We are looking for an experienced Onsite Engineer to join a fast-paced End User Support environment, delivering technical support and project services across a secure enterprise setting.
This role is ideal for someone with strong desktop support and workplace engineering experience who enjoys working onsite, resolving technical issues, and delivering excellent customer service within a professional IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
Complete assigned technical tasks within agreed timeframes
Support internal and external project delivery activities
Carry out operational and support tasks to SLA targets
Provide high-quality onsite support to end users
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues
Assist with desktop builds, deployments, and system configurations
Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows environments (Windows 10/11)
Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications
SCCM knowledge including OS deployment, application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Understanding of PowerShell, VBScript, or batch scripting beneficial
Knowledge of BitLocker, NTFS permissions, and endpoint security
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Exchange, and collaboration tools
Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Requirements
Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)
Applicants should have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years
Successful candidates will complete standard pre-employment screening including DBS and employment checks
