Learning Support Assistant

The Role
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming Primary school in Ipswich to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with SEN or additional needs
* Support pupils with classroom activities, engagement, and behaviour
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children's learning
* A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* References covering the last two years
