We're looking for a motivated Planner to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of sectors and locations, supporting both new and existing client projects. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to a variety of projects, and supporting colleagues on larger, more complex schemes.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll start by managing smaller-scale planning applications, with full support and on-the-job mentoring. As you grow in the role, there will be clear opportunities for promotion to Senior Planner and involvement in business development.
Typical tasks include:
Preparing planning appraisals and applications
Contributing to strategic planning and local plan promotion
Engaging in community consultations and negotiations
Supporting project management and delivering client presentations
Assisting with planning appealsGrowth & Development Opportunities:
Supported route to RTPI accreditation (if not already achieved)
Ongoing professional development across all areas of the planning system
Involvement in business development and networking
Opportunities to deliver presentations and contribute to winning new work

Essential Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing
Ability to manage time and prioritise effectively
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Enthusiastic, resourceful, and self-motivated
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
A professional, friendly approach with strong relationship-building skills
Full clean UK driving licenceDesirable Skills:
1-2 years' experience (for Senior Planner applicants) in the public or private sector
Familiarity with urban design and masterplanning is a bonus
