About the Role
The Electrical Product Engineer will support the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for bio‑safety cabinets and related equipment. This role contributes to new product development, enhancements to existing products, and resolution of customer and manufacturing issues.
Responsibilities
* Research, design, and implement projects focused on reliability, manufacturability, cost, and regulatory compliance.
* Develop product documentation, including electrical schematics, component specifications, manufacturing diagrams, and cost estimates.
* Coordinate with standard agencies to obtain required certifications.
* Prepare and process engineering change orders.
* Provide electrical expertise: troubleshoot issues, support internal teams and customers, and guide testing procedures.
* Identify and qualify replacements for obsolete components.
* Prototype, test, and integrate hardware and software.
* Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
* Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 5+ years of electrical product design and development experience; familiarity with air handling, motors/blowers, and PLCs preferred.
* Experience with control systems and embedded programming.
* CAD proficiency a plus.
* Knowledge of standards such as UL and CE.
* Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Project management experience or knowledge required.
