Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant working within a property business to join their team. This is a brand new role that has been created due to expansion of the business and is an ideal chance to develop a role and to make it your own and to develop new skills within a niche sector. This Accounts Assistant role will be working in a team and will involve dealing with the incoming rents and outgoing payments to clients accounts, so its really important that the successful individual has previous experience of working in accounts in a property business and experience of managing rental accounts and client monies.
Job Description:
1. Process invoices related to property maintenance, utilities, contractors, and other expenses.
2. Prepare payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers/contractors
3. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
4. Raise invoices for property rental income, service charges, and other fees
5. To monitor tenant payment schedules and follow up on overdue payments
6. Assist in the reconciliation of tenant accounts and manage any related queries
7. Bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
8. Maintain accurate financial records for all properties, including expense tracking, tenant accounts, and revenue streams
9. To provide administrative support as needed
10. Handle tenant inquiries regarding their accounts and financial transactions
11. Liaise with clients regarding their properties
For the Accounts Assistant role, it would be good to see candidates with:
12. Ideally part or Full AAT qualification
13. Someone who has proven accounts experience
14. Experience of working with clients accounts, managing client money is essential so from a legal or property management, accountancy practice, insurance, pension providers or similar background is essential
15. Strong customer service focused
16. Highly detail conscious
17. Proven experience of accounts software such as Xero
18. Team player
