About this opportunity
We require a tutor to teach Employability and Health and Care/Wellbeing courses to adult learners in Penrith and the surrounding area. We offer an extensive range of courses to the communities of Penrith, and the right candidate will offer interesting and engagingprovision to support the growth of the Service. The role will involve delivering accredited qualifications particularly in areas such as Mental Health Awareness, Resilience and Grit, and Employability.
The qualifications offered include a range of short Awards at Entry Level, and Certificates at Levels 1 and 2. The successful applicant will also deliver non-accredited classes to provide pathways for learners to progress to studying formal qualifications. An Assessor qualification would be an advantage, and a teaching qualification is essential (or a willingness to complete a qualification within 12 months of starting employment).
The role will require someone with the ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly to meet local and emerging needs. The candidate will be provided with curriculum support and guidance by an Advanced Practitioner.

The successful candidate will be experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic, confident and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, with a willingness to work flexibly across different locations to meet growing demand and with varied groups of learners, many of whom have significant challenges in their everyday lives.
Teaching hours will be varied and are dependent on demand; it is likely you will need to be available for classes during day and evening hours. This is an opportunity to really make a difference to people`s lives and will be hugely rewarding to the right candidate.
