An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Clinical Educator to work with the established Clinical Academy at Lewisham and Greenwich Trust. The Clinical Academy brings together faculty members providing or considering accredited courses that the Trust develops and implements.
The Academy currently develops 500 registered professionals annually, with plans to increase this to 1500. To support this expansion, the role involves enhancing existing programmes and developing new course modules in collaboration with clinical specialists.
The post is based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and involves cross-site work.
Candidates should have experience in teaching, mentoring, and assessing staff, along with a post-registration teaching/mentorship qualification. The role requires delivering clinical skills training and facilitating learning around deteriorating patients, ABCDE assessments, and acute clinical skills.

Responsibilities include working within professional registers (NMC), supporting faculty in delivering courses, facilitating ongoing development for healthcare professionals, and supporting simulation-based learning. The role also involves supporting staff with capability issues, developing expertise in academic misconduct issues, and fostering a culture of continuous professional development (CPD).

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* NMC/HCPC Registration (Adult)
* Degree and postgraduate qualifications relevant to clinical expertise
* Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor qualification
* Masters or equivalent
* Willingness to pursue further teaching qualifications
Experience
* Proven clinical and management skills
* Experience in multidisciplinary working, quality initiatives, teaching, mentoring, assessment, and audit
* Experience in interprofessional education and HEI teaching
Knowledge and Skills
