We are looking for a
Junior Software Tester
to join an established QA team working on our next-generation
pharmacy web products
. This is a permanent role offering up to
£30,000
per year, ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in quality assurance.
You'll be joining a supportive and proven team, where you'll get exposure to a wide range of technologies and testing practices. While the role is officially office-based, we operate on a
hybrid model
– most team members come into the office just once or twice a month.
What you'll be doing:
* Designing and executing test cases across functional, exploratory, usability, and regression testing.
* Logging and tracking bugs using tools such as
Jira
or
Azure DevOps
.
* Collaborating with developers, business analysts, and fellow QA testers to ensure full coverage of requirements.
* Contributing to Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and occasionally supporting Waterfall projects.
* Communicating results and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
* Some prior experience in a QA or software testing role – enough to
hit the ground running
.
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to write clear and structured test cases.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to improvement.
Desirable (not essential):
* Experience with manual testing techniques (Functional, Usability, Regression, Exploratory).
* Familiarity with defect management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).
* Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
* Basic exposure to test automation.
* Knowledge of pharmacy or healthcare IT.
