About the role:
In the electronics manufacturing sector, a Learning and Development (L&D) Manager acts as a strategic bridge between technical production requirements and workforce capability. The role focuses on ensuring that technical staff, engineers, and production teams possess the specialised skills needed for high-precision manufacturing, while also driving leadership and operational excellence.
To lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of a comprehensive L&D strategy that aligns with manufacturing goals. This involves identifying critical skill gaps in technical production, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IPC, ISO 9001), and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
What You Will Do:
1. Technical Training Strategy: Develop and implement a technical competency framework specific to electronics manufacturing, including soldering, PCB assembly, and quality control.
2. Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across departments to identify immediate and future skills requirements for production and engineering.
3. Compliance & Safety: Oversee mandatory training programmes including Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and ISO quality requirements.
