Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer Salary: £52,000 pa (equivalent to £25.00 p/hr for a 40-hour week) Location: Bishop's Stortford - easy access from the M11 junction, near Stansted Airport Hands-on role: panel wiring, electrical installation, testing and commissioning On-site work: install, commission systems at client locations Reactive work: fault finding, breakdown diagnosis and repair Role overview: An established engineering/manufacturing business is looking for an Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer to support the wiring, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical control panels and skid-mounted systems. You'll also provide fault finding and breakdown support on installed equipment, both in-house and on client sites. Key responsibilities: Controls work and electrical panel wiring Read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics Electrical installation of systems at client sites Testing and commissioning of electrical panels, skids and associated equipment Fault finding, breakdown response and corrective repairs to restore operation Safe, competent use of power tools and hand tools Required experience / skills: Experience in controls and panel wiring Able to read electrical drawings Familiar with power tools and hand tools Strong fault-finding mindset and a practical, safety-first approach Desired experience PLCs and HMIs (user/diagnostic experience advantageous) Commissioning of electrical panels and skids Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment HRGO Recruitment provides both permanent and temporary job opportunities across the UK.
