Description
We cater for anything from tea and coffee for five to hospitality functions for 1,000, conference and events business and the BRDC clubhouse – 52 weeks per year, seven days a week, delivering over 30,000+ business lunches a year!
Our new Karting Track will boast a new in-house operated pizza restaurant and bar operations open 52 weeks a year for karters, public as well as offering a delivery service across the venue.
Wherever possible, we source local ingredients and cook in-house from scratch. Our team is looking for staff to join our 45 full-time Chefs, Managers, Supervisors, and front of house staff, along with over 50 part-time colleagues who love food and the energy of meticulous preparation in a safe, happy, and bustling environment of a world-class venue.
Job Purpose
To support the teams in delivering catering services at Silverstone Circuits for the Retail Catering and assisting with the delivery and operation of catering across the site.
This is an integral role which works across all departments and external suppliers to ensure the success of Silverstone Circuit, enabling us to become a nationally recognized, family-focused leisure destination with motor sport at its heart.

Key Responsibilities
* Have practical working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures across the department.
* Understand fast-paced Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) / Pizza lead restaurant operations.
* Ensure full compliance with all financial procedures, and that cash handling and stock are secure.
* Assist the Manager with all aspects of compliance and health and safety procedures in all operational areas.
* Implement and deliver SOPs and presentation standards for the catering operation.
* Maintain a culture of excellent customer service at all times.
* Lead the day-to-day operations and act as the point of contact for staff and SCL department queries, managing planning and delivery of catering services.
* Assist the corporate and sales teams with event delivery.
* Ensure all food is served and presented according to company standards.
* Handle customer queries professionally, courteously, and friendly.
* Complete and file all food safety documentation accurately.
* Check and sign daily opening & closing documentation.
* Assist with managing staff rotas and ensure staffing costs stay within budget.
Team Responsibilities
* Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety rules and practices to ensure compliance with legislation.
* Implement Silverstone’s values and culture.
* Liaise with kitchen staff regarding orders and staffing levels.
* Collaborate with Catering Managers to foster teamwork among chefs and FOH personnel, ensuring smooth operation.
* Promote excellent customer service.
* Coordinate and participate in staff training as needed.
* Support the team in achieving sales targets.
* Ensure catering areas are well set, and POS displays are optimized to drive sales.
* Lead proactively to ensure smooth operation.
Performance Responsibilities
Performance will be monitored against objectives set through the Personal Development Review (PDR) process.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* At least one year’s experience in a similar catering environment, especially QSR/Pizza.
* Excellent customer and client awareness.
* Strong leadership skills to attract and retain an empowered team.
* High standard of personal presentation.
* Enjoys hard work, thrives under pressure in a busy environment.
* Self-starter with creativity and flair to maximize sales opportunities and organize events profitably.
* Ability to manage costs proactively.
* Full clean UK driving license.
* Knowledge of food handling, COSHH, and HACCP is desirable.
* Flexible working hours.
* Good communication skills.
* Relevant sector experience within QSR/Pizza restaurant.
