The Role
We are currently seeking a Renewable Electrical Engineer who can join our skilful team and help us install a range of bespoke renewable systems on different types of properties, as well as carry out O&M servicing and repairs on existing Solar PV arrays.
You will be responsible for upholding quality electrical installations in line with manufacturers and TLGEC standards, ensuring projects are achieved in a timely fashion and meet our client's expectations.

Responsibilities:
* Install Renewable Electrical Components: Install Solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV chargers
* Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is completed safely and in full compliance with current regulations
* High-Quality Delivery: Deliver installations to a consistently high standard, on time and cost-effectively
* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with PV Roofers and wider site teams when required
* Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain full compliance with all health & safety obligations, both corporate and legal
* Technical Development: Keep technical knowledge current through company training and self-development
* Project Documentation: Ensure project documents and site records are complete, accurate, and up to date
* Reporting: Provide clear, timely reporting as directed
* Site Standards & Methodology: Apply TLGEC methodology and always adhere to site standards
* Resource Efficiency: Use materials and resources efficiently, supporting smooth project delivery
* RAMS & Documentation Knowledge: Maintain a strong working knowledge of RAMS and all required project documentation
What we're looking for:
* Electrical Competence: Fully competent across all aspects of electrical work, ideally with experience in solar PV, battery storage, and EV installations
* Trade Qualification: City & Guilds / NVQ trade qualification (or equivalent)
* CSCS & Safety Training: CSCS card (SSSTS / SMSTS also listed as required)
* Advanced Trade Qualification: City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
* Electrical Certification: BS 7671:2018 + A2: th Edition)
* Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and best practice
* Tool Proficiency: Confident using the power tools and hand tools common to electrical and roofing-related work
* Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving on-site
* Workmanship & Professionalism: High standards, pride in workmanship, and a professional attitude
Extra Credit:
* BPEC Qualification: BPEC Solar Installer + Battery Storage qualification
* JIB Certification: JIB Gold Card / Black Card
* Approved Installer Status: Approved renewable installer
* Harness Training: Certified in harness use
* Plant & Equipment Licences: Telehandler / Scissor Lift / FLT Licence
