Job Description We are looking for an exceptional Employee Relations Specialist who can deliver a first class customer focused service by providing specialist support and advice, predominantly over the telephone, to colleagues throughout our business. This role is predominantly based in Milton Keynes with some flexibility to work from home. Your responsibilities will include: Resolving and responding to employee relations related queries escalated from the ER Advisory team, or via the ER Team Manager. Working closely with the other ER Specialists and ER Advisory team, you will apply relevant employee relations approaches and solutions, in line with our ER / People support model, to provide clarity and support to our Managers, business leaders and teams. Consistently delivering a professional and proactive approach, enabling managers to achieve their objectives, through coaching, and the provision of ER advice that is prompt, persuasive, effective, and evaluates risk. This will include areas such as: Grievance, Disciplinary, Absence Management, Tribunals etc. Providing training to the ER Advisors, being a role model and offering support and guidance where appropriate. Supporting changes to and / or the implementation of any new ER policies and procedures. Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure full understanding and embedding of new ways of working. Proactively identifying trends and opportunities to improve the ER support and service for our people. Working collaboratively with colleagues to use this insight to evolve and develop ER approaches and solutions. Working closely with colleagues in the People Team, business teams for Employment Tribunal cases; gathering information, managing and coordinating all activity required throughout the process. Working in collaboration with our Group Organisation Change Team on Group-wide project implementation. We are looking for someone who has: Employee Relations case management experience ideally in a larger organisation, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, ill health, flexible working, contractual changes, and management of Employment Tribunal Claims. CIPD or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential). Ability to successfully coach and influence colleagues. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured work. The ability to make logical, well-balanced and reasoned decisions.
