Brief Description
As part of an exciting transformation in the Eastern Region Commercial Directorate, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team and work alongside a range of business units and across a varied and large portfolio. There are opportunities to support and lead Commercial activities on major projects and programmes, which deliver some of the most exciting and innovative projects in UK infrastructure.

In the Performance & Reporting Analyst (Supply Chain Support Manager) role, you will support the successful management of strategic Framework Agreements and strategic Supply Chain Management across the Eastern Region utilising and developing further your acquired skills across Project Management, Commercial, Procurement and Supply Chain administration.
This Role will manage the collection, review and analysis across a diverse range of commercial strategy, supplier performance and contracting activities to present conclusions and recommendations in an appropriate format. This will be done through collaboration within the Commercial Team and wider Network Rail Stakeholders, developing and managing tools to ensure that the delivery outputs required both Regionally and Nationally are met.
About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities -
1. Coordinate production of overall commercial and / or contractor performance plans for the region.
2. Provide an effective day-to-day service to the Commercial team in reporting on commercial, Framework utilisation and performance, supplier performance and supply chain risk across all key results areas.
3. Provide an analysis of the performance data and market intelligence, looking for anomalies and key trends against the recorded baselines.
4. Monitor the application of change controls, checking and reviewing that issues and requests are tracked and reported through to completion and any risks are recorded and values published to the relevant commercial team.
5. Monitor and validate so that data inputted into performance systems meet data standards and resolve differences between Network Rail and contractor inputted performance data, where required.
6. Maintain reporting systems and control functional activities (e.g. including relevant publication of notices) across the contract lifecycle as appropriate.
Essential
• Successful relevant experience in the management, planning or delivery of major construction and engineering projects.
• Procurement and Supply chain experience in an operational environment
• Demonstrable level of mathematical and statistical analysis, interpretation and reporting on spend data sets
• Experience of procurement and commercial technology solutions
• Strong technical skillset, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel)
• Experienced with agile cross-functional collaborative working methods
• Problem-solving experience of complex supplier specific challenges
• Completer finisher mindset with experience of working to tight deadlines while maintaining high quality output
• A working knowledge of programme and project controls processes and systems.
Desirable
• Experience in Supplier relationship management
• Detailed knowledge of the UK Rail Industry, including procurement processes in a reclassified environment
• Experience with cross-functional collaborative working methods
• Working knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience of preparing and presenting at internal governance panels.
