WORKING HOURS: 20 HOURS PER WEEK
SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday 19:00 - 23:00
PAY RATE: £12.88 PER HOUR
We are seeking experienced cleaning operatives with great attention to detail. ABM uniform will be provided and must be worn at all times. The main duties and responsibilities include:
1. Working within our evening cleaning team in an office environment, carrying out duties effectively and efficiently.
2. Maintaining high cleaning standards throughout the building, including washrooms, kitchens, reception, offices, desks, meeting rooms, corridors, stairs, breakout areas, lifts, and detailed cleaning work.
3. Handling waste generated on site and removing it to the approved external waste area.
4. Maintaining showers and topping up towels.
5. Cleaning and scrubbing hard floors, spot cleaning carpets, and vacuuming common areas.
6. Performing touch point cleaning and laundry duties.
7. Responding to spillages and callouts from the on-site team.
8. Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and line managers.
9. Working independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills and confidence in interactions.
10. Undergoing full training on cleaning methods and equipment.
Essential qualifications and qualities include:
1. Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements or willingness to learn.
2. Knowledge of cleaning methods or willingness to learn.
3. High attention to detail.
4. Ability to work under pressure.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Adaptability to a busy operational environment.
7. Reliable and flexible approach to work.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
9. Physical fitness suitable for an active role.
10. Previous cleaning experience preferred.
11. Good communication skills, smart appearance, and a proactive attitude.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
1. Follow group and company policies and procedures.
2. Report deficiencies in systems or equipment that may affect safety or service delivery.
3. Properly use all work equipment and PPE.
4. Report issues or training needs to your line manager.
5. Complete background checks and security vetting prior to start date, with documented proof of eligibility.
