The Opportunity A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join a collaborative and professional finance team at the companys Washington site. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of finance duties across accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end processing, and audit preparation. This is an ideal role for someone with solid financial experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standards environment and enjoys contributing to a wider team mission. Key Responsibilities: Process and oversee purchase ledger invoices and staff expenses Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payment runs Perform daily bank reconciliations and support accruals and prepayments Maintain the fixed asset register and carry out periodic audits Support the input and issue of sales invoices Assist in credit control including chasing late payments and resolving queries Prepare journals and assist with monthly reporting Update and follow internal finance policies and SOPs Support internal and external audit processes Candidate Requirements Essential: At least 1 years experience using Microsoft D365 or a similar accounting system Strong understanding of financial ledgers, banking, and reporting Experience in a busy finance team environment Intermediate Excel and Word skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage competing deadlines and work under pressure Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude Desirable: AAT qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) Experience in the logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing sectors Familiarity with VAT preparation and reconciliations Prior audit preparation experience Benefits: Competitive salary (£28,000£30,000 depending on experience) Cycle to work scheme Employee discounts On-site parking Opportunities for internal development and career growth This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking for a long-term role in a supportive and forward-thinking business. ??
