Role Summary
The main objective of this role is to support the store management team in achieving a store environment that fosters creativity, employee development, and the VIBE philosophy. To uphold the Urban Outfitters 'Peers Training Peers' philosophy.
What You'll Be Doing
People:
* Uphold the company's mystery shop standards and ensure that customer service takes priority over projects.
* Contribute to the overall VIBE in the store by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others.
* Assist with customer service, loss prevention, store cleaning tasks, and store projects as needed.
Teamwork & Communication:
* Inspire, motivate, and encourage teamwork by modeling positive behavior.
* Train and coach team members on receiving and inventory control measures.
* Communicate effectively and build partnerships with the store team, inventory control, and the distribution centre.
* Participate actively in daily meetings.
Operations:
* Lead the team in the shipment receipt process and ensure prompt shipment turnaround.
* Take ownership of receiving, ensuring operational tasks are completed and areas are maintained neatly and organized.
* Complete receiving paperwork accurately and on time.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, setting a good example.
* Maintain strong loss prevention awareness and ensure compliance with inventory control measures.
* Follow all health & safety regulations.
Merchandising & Display:
* Coordinate with the Visual Merchandising Manager and management to facilitate shipment placement and uphold store standards.
* Prioritize replenishment of top-selling items based on product knowledge.
* Assist with merchandising and display projects to support sales.
What You'll Need
* Previous leadership experience in retail.
* Ability to move around the sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
* Open availability to work nights and weekends, including opening and closing shifts.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
