What you will bring to the role:
* Solve engineering challenges to meet production targets using structured problem-solving tools like A3PS, 8D, and DMAIC
* Maintain and control manufacturing processes using lean tools including Standard Operating Procedures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Control Plans, Value Stream Maps, Kanban, and Process Failure Mode Effect Analyses (PFMEAs)
* Drive, validate, and implement changes to product design focusing on quality and manufacturability, ensuring new and existing products meet specifications
* Improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through targeted projects and communicate progress to stakeholders in production and the wider business
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the safety, quality, and delivery of our market-leading products
* Support operational teams to ensure the supply of parts meets the required standards.
* Liaise with suppliers and the supplier quality team to resolve quality or delivery issues and support supplier validation and reallocation processes
* Develop and optimize cell and line layouts and workstation designs to enhance process efficiency
About you:
* Proven hands-on approach to solving complex engineering and manufacturing challenges, backed by a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
* Strong time management skills, balancing immediate production needs with long-term improvement initiatives
* Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing (2:1 or higher preferred), with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
* Enthusiastic about modern manufacturing processes, with exposure to high-technology manufacturing/assembly, Six Sigma, MES (e.g., Visual Factory), ERP (SAP), PLM/ECN systems, and manufacturing transfer
* Proficiency in technical tools such as 3D Mechanical CAD or PCB design, coupled with the ability to analyze designs for performance and manufacturability improvements
