We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Deputy Manager to join The Royal Foresters, Ascot – our flagship venue that has recently benefited from a £1 million refurbishment, cementing its position as one of the most aspirational hospitality destinations in the region.
This is no ordinary Deputy Manager role. The Royal Foresters is a high‑volume, multi‑faced business generating £100,000+ in weekly sales, with 24 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a thriving food and drink operation, and a reputation for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Located in the heart of Ascot, the site comes alive during the world‑famous racing season with Ascot Week presenting one of the biggest and most exciting trading periods of the year. Success here requires energy, resilience and exceptional leadership.
We’re looking for a Senior Deputy Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can confidently lead and inspire a large team, and has the ambition to develop into a future General Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong operator who wants to gain experience in a flagship business and prove themselves at the highest level.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in a high‑volume hospitality operation
* Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team
* Commercial awareness and a passion for driving performance
* Confidence in delivering exceptional guest experiences under pressure
* Ambition to progress into a General Manager role
* Resilience and determination to embrace a demanding but highly rewarding challenge

About the Role
As Deputy Manager you’ll be working alongside the Pub Manager helping to lead the team and run our busy pub. You’ll be managing busy services, planning and running special events, welcoming and looking after customers, and helping to train and lead our bar and waiting team. You’ll draw on your knowledge and experience to decide what beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be at the heart of everything going on to ensure that things run smoothly.
