Mixed YR1/2 Teacher – Reception
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Easter/April 2026
Contract: Full-time, temporary
Salary: £32,916 – £45,351 per annum (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to lead a mixed Year 1/2 class at a welcoming primary school in Lincoln from Easter 2026. This full-time role sits within Key Stage 1 and requires a practitioner who understands progression from EYFS into the National Curriculum and can effectively scaffold learning across two year groups.
You will establish a nurturing and well-structured classroom environment, supporting pupils’ transition towards increasingly independent learning. A strong commitment to inclusive practice, high expectations for behaviour and achievement, and effective communication with parents and carers is essential.
We are looking for a teacher who is adaptable, collaborative and driven to secure strong outcomes for every child within a mixed-age setting.

What You Will Need
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent UK classroom experience (minimum 6 weeks)
* Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, including age-related expectations in Year 1 and Year 2
* Experience planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons across mixed attainment levels
* Confidence teaching systematic synthetic phonics, including Little Wandle
* Secure understanding of end-of-Key-Stage 1 assessment and Year 2 SATs preparation
* Strong organisational skills to manage mixed-age planning effectively
* A warm, nurturing approach and genuine passion for early childhood development
* Creative, engaging teaching strategies that promote active learning
* Strong classroom management and adaptability
