Your new role As Accounts Assistant, you will work in a dedicated professional services team. Your duties will include: Assisting in the preparation of Purchase Ledger Payments and Sundry Payments Assisting in the preparation of Sub-contractors Ledger Assisting in the preparation of monitoring returns and reviews, and keeping policies and procedures updated. Efficiently and effectively operate the office switchboard, when required, in a courteous manner. Deal with telephone calls regarding the administration affairs of the office, and resolve the queries raised and relay prompt and accurate messages as appropriate. Collate and ensure the posting of all outgoing mail. Ensuring the filing system is maintained and files are accurately kept for inspection. Training will be provided for the following duties: payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger and sub-contractors ledger What you'll need to succeed Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook Ideally, have experience with purchase ledger and sales ledger Ability to work to deadlines and timescales Be able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision Flexible and adaptable to suit the changing work environment Be willing to update job skills and abilities.
