Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in home care settings (i.e., domiciliary care), ensuring that everyone requiring care receive the highest standard of care. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team. A UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
Duties
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each user's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in user's conditions to management/Care Manager.
* Support service user's in social activities and promote their engagement within the community.
* Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with care receivers, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and colleagues.
* A valid UK driving licence is required with access to own vehicle. We pay for mileage. for transporting residents when necessary.
