We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role in strengthening our financial governance, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring the smooth running of our Group finance operations. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of core financial reporting, partner with departmental leaders to drive performance, and help shape more efficient systems and processes as we scale.

This is a Remote/Hybrid (with travel to London and Semley, Wiltshire 1-2 times per month)
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts for the parent and subsidiary companies.
Partner with departmental leaders to review performance, provide insight, and identify cost‑saving or efficiency opportunities.
Support the planning and delivery of the annual audit.
Prepare annual financial statements in line with FRS102 and ensure filing deadlines are met.
Line‑manage the Management Accountant and Accounts Payable.
Work with the Financial Controller and tax advisers on corporation tax computations and R&D tax credit submissions.
Prepare the Group VAT return and maintain accurate supporting records.
Support system upgrades and process improvements to enhance efficiency across the finance function.
Requirements
Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA).
Experience in a large accounting practice, ideally 1–2 years post‑qualification.
Strong technical financial reporting knowledge.
Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Confident communicator able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organised, energetic, and able to prioritise effectively.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics tools (Desirable)
Experience with financial management software (Desirable)

£65,000 annual salary
