A well‑established organisation is seeking a highly capable Payroll Manager to support both ongoing payroll operations and the implementation of a new HR system.
Salary offered: £45,000 - £55,000Working hours: 08:30-17:00Hybrid working
Your new role
1. Manage all monthly payroll updates, ensuring accurate preparation of information for the external payroll partner.
2. Ensurepliance with HMRC regulations, pension requirements, and statutory obligations
3. Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and year‑end processes (P60, P11D, etc.)
4. Manage payroll queries and provide expert guidance to employees and managers
5. Collaborate with HR and Finance to support reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
6. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance payroll efficiency
7. Partner with HR to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient data integration from the new HR system into the payroll module
What you'll need to succeed
8. Proven experience in a payroll management or senior payroll position.
9. Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
10. Proficient with payroll systems and implementation
11. Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
12. Strongmunication skills and a customer‑focused approach
13. Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively
14. CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential.
