Responsibilities
* Be the ambassador of Ball’s culture, driving the right behaviours amongst all plant employees.
* Be responsible for the production process as a whole in accordance with planned performance.
* Manage material and tooling supply and ensure job distribution and arrangement within the shift.
* Effectively manage all areas of manufacturing (safety, quality, production, scrap, personnel issues, etc.).
* Participate in development and maintenance of the integrated management system.
* Undertake the responsibilities of Quality Control Manager and Mechanical Supervisor during holiday and night shifts.
* Identify defects occurring during production and notify relevant units as required.
* Detect potential problems and ensure they are resolved to avoid production disruption.
* Ensure cleanliness of production areas and machinery and promote this among all workers.
* Control availability and proper use of working clothes, footwear, and protective equipment by personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in a people-leading role within manufacturing/industrial 24/7 environment.
* Shift pattern - 6 on, 4 off (2 morning shifts, 2 afternoon shifts, 2 night shifts) with 4 days off.
* HNC in an Engineering Discipline.
* Analytical skills to interpret numerical data.
* Good understanding of modern lean manufacturing techniques.
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
