Role Overview
As a Senior Support Worker you will be committed to supporting people in a positive, creative way that enables them to live fulfilled lives. You will support the Service Manager in leading a team who encourage people to live independently and to be part of their local community. You will demonstrate best practice and be a role model for the team. Ongoing support will be provided for professional development, including your Diploma Level 3 in Adult Care (RQF).
Responsibilities
* Support and empower service users to live independently and participate in the local community.
* Lead and motivate a team, fostering best practice and professional behaviour.
* Deputise for the Service Manager where required.
* Adhere to working rota and shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
* Maintain accurate record keeping and documentation.
* Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in support or care services, preferably in a senior or team lead role.
* Knowledge of adult care standards and best practice.
* Strong communication and team leadership skills.
* Commitment to professional development; diploma level 3 in adult care (RQF) will be supported.
* Enhanced DBS disclosure – cost met by the organisation.
* Current UK driving licence (if role requires driving) – confirm if applicable.
