We are looking for a Registered Electrician with the skills, initiative, and passion to deliver high-quality EV charging solutions across New Zealand.
As an EV Charge Point Electrician, you will play a key role in the installation and servicing of Level 3 DC EV chargers at commercial, retail, and public locations nationwide. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Installing and commissioning Level 3 DC electric vehicle charging systems
* Performing routine maintenance, diagnostics and fault rectification
* Ensuring all work is delivered safely, to a high standard, and in line with technical specifications
* Collaborating with project managers, civil contractors, and the broader ECL team to meet project timelines
* Working away from home when required, including travel and stays of up to two weeks depending on project locations
About you:
* You are a New Zealand Registered Electrician with a current practicing licence
* You have a solid understanding of electrical systems, and preferably some experience with DC charging infrastructure (CHAdeMO, CCS or similar)
* You are practical, safety-focused, and take pride in delivering work to a high standard
* You are calm under pressure and capable of troubleshooting problems in the field
* You are comfortable travelling for work and working on the road as needed
* You have excellent communication skills and work well within a team environment
