Data Engineer
Exeter | Hybrid (Flexible) | Up to £50k per annum | Permanent
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes
2. Build and optimise data pipelines for efficient data integration
3. Write and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
4. Develop and manage SSIS packages
5. Create and maintain reports using SSRS
6. Support the development and optimisation of data warehouse solutions
7. Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
9. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
Required Experience
10. 3–5+ years’ experience in a Data Engineering or similar role
11. Strong proficiency in SQL, including performance tuning and optimisation
12. Hands-on experience with ETL development and data integration
13. Proven experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
14. Experience developing reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services
15. Solid understanding of data warehousing
16. Experience working with large, complex datasets
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
